As I could see for myself, the fish here react perfectly to the floating lures themselves. What is the problem, however, is the large number of spawning carp. Therefore, you have two options - to wait for the fish on sinking boilies or to fish through a lot of small fish. I chose the second option, because really what carp is, it's unique.
Thanks to the great depth, the fish here are beautifully coloured black and have an atypical body shape. In other words, they are round like soccer balls. To be honest, I wasn't very good at hooking, there were so many runs that I was hitting both rods at the same time several times. After a day I was already tired of it, but I still enjoyed fishing after such a long time. The next evening was a beautiful sunset. When I pulled out my camera to take a picture of the gem, I got a slow ride. I carefully placed the camera in the grass and began to climb.
There was no carp at the end of the rod after X shots, this time it was a small grass carp, which I had to click in an interesting light. With this, I ended the expedition and went to sleep in peace. I started the second action, led by the Russian torpedo, again by myself. In the afternoon, I looked at the weather forecast and read that a really strong storm was heading for the Czech Republic. I thought to myself that it definitely won't be that hot. Anyway, after opening Facebook, I found out that this is probably the strongest storm of the year.
So I anchored my brolly properly and for the first time decided that it would be wise to take off the carbon rods. The afternoon was pleasant, but you could tell in the wind that a change was coming. Fortunately, I managed to feed and prepare everything necessary for the coming day. It started to rain and I took one last look at how the clouds were moving. I had a few hours of fishing before the storm. First, it started to rain solidly and although I don't like it very much, because I know very well that this weather works wonders for carp. I had to pull the rods out of the water for safety reasons. In a few minutes, it was at my place, I started getting messages from my friends that I was crazy to sit by the water in this weather. But I enjoyed it, I closed the door and looked out the window. I have never seen such lightning and thunder.
At times it was completely light, it was an adrenaline rush to keep a roof over your head. As they say, no weather can deter a true fisherman.. :) I didn't go to sleep until the storm stopped. The next day at daylight I prepared things again. To my surprise, he was deaf all day, so this time the change in weather did not bring success. I waited until night for the first shot. At 11 I spin my reel for the first time and I have a beautiful grey carp over 15 kg. The weather returned to normal again and I enjoyed the peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.
On the last morning, a parachute pulled me out of my sleeping bag. I forgot to mention that this event was marked by a large bream, which I was fighting from the very beginning. That's why I was secretly hoping that the next shovel would drop it so I could get a good night's sleep. I was convinced that it was either a very small carp or another bream. The fish didn't resist at all and just let itself be dragged helplessly to the shore. Sometimes she jerked her head, so I leaned towards the carp at the last moment. But I was really tired, so I didn't experience the fight at all. The moment the fish approached the shore, a 180-degree turn occurred. My eyes lit up when I saw it. The huge grass carp, which I wanted so much for several years, is right under my feet. I turned towards the brollek and quietly tried to wake up Baru so that he could go look at it. What makes grass carp specific is their fighting style. If he doesn't feel the shore, or if you don't touch him with the net of the landing net, he won't start freaking out. I knew exactly what to do. The fish was looking at me with its head out of the water, and I, in a convulsion, tried to quietly sink the net under the water. I did great.
Now just slowly get the grass carp over him. As quickly as possible, I raised the net at the right moment, and the moment the fish realized it was trapped, the fight began. I jumped into the water after him and held the net with a firm grip so that it wouldn't make an even bigger hole. The huge body had really great power, and in a small moment, everything was completely wet. The water splashed all the way up to my bra on the lounger. After a few minutes, the grass carp gave up and I could weigh it - a beautiful 18 kg, it was an incredible achievement for me to pull such a small person. We took some beautiful photos and released the fish. With these stories, I would like to end today's article with a successful summer, when grass carp stuck to my heels.
He wishes Mivardi - Eliška many successes.
