I was enjoying it to the fullest and didn't even notice how quickly the time was passing. It's been two weeks since Radek and I started riding there and it's already starting to show. The bites decreased and we caught carp repeatedly. We therefore decided to let the place rest for a few days. Coincidentally, it turned out to be torrential rains, when the water level rose quite a bit and the water became cloudy.
This was the right moment to come back. We planned the return day for the full moon. I don't completely look for this phase of the moon like some anglers, it never worked for me. But this time I believed it because of the state of the river and the rapidly rising pressure. We cast the rods just before dark exactly like the previous outings. We were without a shot until midnight, but that didn't deter us from casting in the morning. At 4:00 a.m. I sent the assembly into the water again and went to lie down in the sleeping bag again. I couldn't sleep, so I scrolled through photos of big fish from this section on my cell phone. In the meantime, my alarm beeped once, but I didn't pay attention to it, because there was a lot of mess going on that night, and these beeps were not unusual. But the alarm sounded again after a few minutes, and when I looked at the rod, I was horrified.
The line ran all the way along the bank and when I lifted the rod the fish was in the snag. I had to pull her hard from the trees and branches. A long fight followed, when I pulled a bag of cement from the bottom. I could tell it was a big fish, but when it first appeared on the surface, my jaw dropped. It was a massive scaly fish over a meter long, and immediately after picking it up it was clear to me that it was a fish around the magical border. And yes, too. The hand of the scale stopped just above 20 kilograms! I was beside myself with happiness! After that night, the bites stopped again, but it didn't deter me and I drove on and on. The river wasn't giving me any more fish and I was thinking it was time to move on. I decided to go there for the last two nights. I managed to achieve only two bites, one of which I turned into a wonderful scaley over 20 kilograms!
This fish really motivated me to devote myself to this part of the section in the autumn period as well. I hope that I will have enough free time despite my studies.
At the end, one more piece of advice for you – the fish is often where you least expect it.
